Parkinsons, Alzheimers, Lou Gehrig's Disease - same cause?

Vancouver neuroscientist Dr. Chris Shaw is completing research that shows a similarities among Parkinsons, Alzheimers and Lou Gehrig's Disease (known also as ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). What they have in common is that they are induced, at least for many patients, by aluminum hydroxide in vaccines.

Well, we already knew that aluminum has been found in high quantity in the autopsied brains of Alzheimers victims. That's why we've been nagging our loved ones to toss out the aluminum coated pots and pans and aluminum deodorant. But now there is evidence of aluminum hydroxide in vaccines being a cause of Parkinsons and ALS also, two diseases that are considered idiopathic by conventional medicine.

What is aluminum doing in vaccines?

Doctors have been injecting children and adults with aluminum hydroxide for 80 years, because in vaccines it acts as an adjuvant, a substance added to stimulate an immune response. Most vaccines contain it. The more aluminum hydroxide used, the less vaccine needed, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, Infectious Disease Chief of the National Institute of Health.

For this reason, Baltimore University of Maryland researchers are now testing bird flu vaccines with aluminum hydroxide, because it is "an immune enhancer that can help the immune system to respond better," says Dr. James Campbell.

Dr. Shaw's research team at the University of British Columbia and Louisiana State University injected mice with the anthrax vaccine that was used in the first Gulf War. Because of the similarity between Gulf War Syndrome and ALS, the neuroscientists had a chance to isolate a possible cause. All troops were vaccinated with aluminum hydroxide, whether they were deployed to the Gulf or not. Yet vaccinated soldiers who did not go to the Persian Gulf developed similar symptoms in similar numbers, which led to Dr. Shaw's interest in the medical procedures and substances that all the troops were subjected to before deployment.

After they studied the mice for 20 weeks, the team found significant differences between the injected and non-injected mice. Memory deficits were 41 times greater than the memory errors among non-vaccinated mice. After sacrificing the mice, tissue samples showed that neural tissue was dying. In the mice's brains, 35% of the cells were destroying themselves.

"No one in my lab wants to get vaccinated now," Dr. Shaw said. "This totally creeped us out. We weren't out there to poke holes in vaccines. But all of a sudden, oh my God --- we've got neuron death!"

Dr. Shaw's paper concludes with a question: "Whether the risk of protection from a dreaded disease outweighs the risk of toxicity is a question that demands our urgent attention."

In the entire 80 years of aluminum hydroxide use in vaccines, Dr. Shaw's 20-week study is the first paper to examine effects on any species beyond the first few weeks.

Do you know where to get your state's vaccine exemption forms?

If you don't yet have the legal forms to protect your child and yourself from vaccination, click on the website of Vaccination Liberation, where you will find current laws and exemptions procedures for the various states and Canada.

Please note that a few states, such as West Virginia, have very strict vaccination requirements. If you have to deal with such a state government, our recommendation is to protect your child any way that you can, including the various suggestions on the Vaclib website.

Naturopathic Viagra

L-Arginine is an amino acid common in food that does what Viagra does, but somewhat differently. More L-arginine is needed to achieve Viagra results, but the long-term effects from arginine-rich foods are no worse than the nuts, seeds, carob and chocolate in which L-arginine is found.

Nitric oxide is a substance naturally occurring in the body that relaxes blood vessels enough to allow them to fill with blood. In the case of enhancing the effect of penile performance, blood flows into the penis, which causes the stiffening effect that enables male sexual performance.

Viagra allows the body to hold onto what little nitric oxide remains in a man with some arteriosclerosis. L-Arginine is the precursor for nitric oxide in the blood vessel walls.

On the one hand, Viagra has many disadvantages: the risk of blindness and the high cost ($10 per pill). On the other hand, L-arginine is as innocent as some foods. A New York University School of Medicine study found that six of the 15 men studied benefited from sexual enhancement at 1000 to 3000 milligrams per day of L-Arginine (the D-Arginine form of the molecule is inactive).

Another solution is yohimbe, which is a tree that grows in West Africa. A centuries-old practice of making a tea from the inner bark of the yohimbe tree is used for enhancing male sexual function. Yohimbe enhances blood flow into the penis and inhibits venous flow away, partly because of its effect on the alpha2 adrenergic system, and partly because of the increase in acetylcholine, which is essential for all neuromuscular function.

The best-known solution however is exercise. Studies have shown that erectile dysfunction is lower in men who have active physical exercise regimens. This has much to do with the cardiovascular health of men who exercise. Erectile dysfunction is primarily a blood vessel problem. And we know that blood vessel health is best protected with exercise. a whole food diet including flavonoid-rich foods, adequate water intake, avoidance of pesticides and other toxins, as well as regular use of a good quality distilled fish oil and/or flax oil.

Herb of the Month: Hawthorn

Description:

Hawthorn is a large shrub to small tree reaching heights of up to 30 feet. Various species can be found throughout Mediterranean regions including Northern Africa. It can also be found in North America.

As the name implies all but a few species of Hawthorn bear thorns, which can be quite sharp. On some species the thorns reach 5 inches in length leading to its use as a hedge where the thorns prove to be a rather effective barrier. The tree has been considered sacred and according to tradition is said to have provided the branches for the Crown of Thorns.

The Hawthorn will tolerate most soil types and grow in partial shade or full sun. It flowers in the spring when the leaves are 1st emerging or shortly thereafter with the flowers giving way to small bright red fruits resembling rose hips. The leaves mature to a dark green that have no appreciable color prior to dropping in the fall.

Chemical Compounds: 1-3% oligomeric procyanidines, 1-2% flavonoids such as quercin, hyperoside, luteolin, apigenin and vitexin. Vitamin C.

Uses: Although there are a number of Hawthorn species most have no role in medicine and botanical extracts are limited to Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna.

Hawthorn berries are a popular herb in Europe. Hawthorn is best known as a heart herb. As a cardiac tonic it is generally considered a safe long-term therapeutic treatment for mild congestive heart failure where its effect is to improve nutrition. It does not contain digitalis-type compounds and thus is not effective in cutting short an anginal attack or in the treatment of more severe congestive heart failure.

An important use of this herb that is not well known is its powerful effect on asthma. Asthmatic patients on long-term Hawthorn usually find that they sooner or later no longer need inhalers or steroids.

Hawthorn tincture is often dosed at 3-6 droppers full in the morning and at night.

Contraindications: There are no generally known contraindications in the literature. Consult your physician if you are currently taking any cardiac medications. As always consult your physician prior to initiating any herbal therapies.
